Allen Parish Fire District 3 a volunteer fire district in South/West Louisiana. Our primary coverage area reaches in the North to the Vernon & Rapides Parish lines South to the mouth of Bundick Creek where it runs into The Whisky Chitto Creek. And from the West at the Beauregard/Allen Parish line East nearly to the Calcasieu River for a total of 166 square miles.
We have 4 stations and a Training Center;
- Fairview Station: 4371 Hwy 377
- Mittie Station:1628 N. Carpenters Bridge Rd
- Black Jack Station: 2651 Hwy 377N.
- Palestine Station: 2093 Palestine Rd.
- Training Center: 4357 Hwy 377
We have 4 Pumpers, 1 Mini-Pumper/Service, 1 Tanker/Pumper, 4 Tankers, 2 Service, and 1 Brush Trucks.
APFD3 responds to all emergencies types in our coverage area and we respond to the surrounding areas for Automatic/mutual aid calls. We also provide Search & Rescue services including on Whisky Chitto Creek, a popular canoe destination in the summer.
Our Training Center is also a LSU-FETI regional testing facility allowing firefighters from all around a closer location to test for certifications through LSU-FETI.
