Effective Oct. 12th our rating will improve to a 5. Property Insurance Association of Louisiana, the organization that rates fire departments in our area, is completed a rating on us and our results were good. We lowered our rating from a 6 to a 5. Most insurance companies will automatically put the new rating in place. It is recommended to call them and confirm. If we can assist you with documentation for this please contact us.

Allen Parish Fire District 3 is a Volunteer Fire Department located between Lake Charles and Alexandria Louisiana. Our department consist of our new Training Center, four stations, 11 apparatus and over 40 volunteers. These volunteers live in our community and give of their time to make OUR community a better, safer place to live.
Our stations are located at Grant, Mittie, Palestine and Black Jack communities and serve a population of just under 2000 residents in our primary coverage area which is 166 square miles. We respond to an average of 150 - 200 calls per year ranging from house fires and auto accidents to medical calls and everything in between. Through our district is the Whiskey Chitto Creek which is a very popular canoe destination for which we also supply search and rescue. On our department we have certified EMT's and EMR's (First Responders).
